My friend and I booked the day tour through Monteriggioni, Siena and San Gimignano with a wine tasting at the end. The tour was perfect! The guide was knowledgeable and informative, and gave us detailed descriptions of the history, culture and idiosyncrasies of each place. Lorenzo was very friendly and approachable and eager to help. He recommended delicious food places for us to eat and even shared some of his art knowledge with us when visiting the spectacular cathedrals and churches. I would highly recommend this tour!

We really enjoyed the Grape Escape winery tour. For only €60, we sampled 9 different wines and 3 kinds of olive oil, all of which were fantastic! There were maybe about 25 people in our group and there were lots of opportunities to mingle and meet new people. The hosts at both wineries were knowledgeable and entertaining. We finished the day with a 1.5 hour visit San Gimignano- a Medieval town with delicious gelato and stunning views of Tuscany. Special thanks to our guide, Alice, who was hilarious, and made our trip memorable.

Advice for travellers!! On the 26th July 2017 me and my partner bought a grape escape wine tour from Italy on a budget tour group. I have attached a picture below of what the tour includes. 2 vinyard's, The first vinyard had an excellent choice of wines, we tried 6 in total here including a dessert wine, plus a truffle oil which was absolutely awesome but it was approximately €30 for a bottle, and balsamic vinegar was €51.There was definitely more emphasis to buy his wine than there was information as it seemed a little rushed to me. He mentioned how pushed for time we was but then gladly allowed us an additional 20 plus minutes when people decided they were buying. The second vinyard was ok. We tried 3 wines in total, all tasted very cheap and acidic. The bruchetta with tomato's was good though. We then visited a town called San Gimignano which in the booklet it says you have 1 hr 30 to look around, sadly we had 50 minutes here and waiting in the toilet que for 20 minutes so it was not worth while even visiting here as we didn't have time to look around as they tell you they leave strictly on time. All in all, if you are a traveller on a BUDGET, Then this tour may be a little pricey for what you get.We didn't really get much for our money to be honest. €60 each is pretty high considering this group is based on travellers aged 18-35 on a budget. :/ If I was to give a note to the travel agent, then it would make more sense taking people to San Gimignano to look around in the morning and have two wine tours a little later and not get people tipsy by 2pm and then give them 50 minutes to look around the town.

Wow - what a day. We absolutely loved our tour of Tuscany with Alfonzo. We got to experience a little slice of heaven as we drove through the Tuscan countryside, sipped wine in Chianti and visited the glorious town of Siena. Alfonozo was extremely knowledgable and fun, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
