About Vinarium
Our project was born on 1980. Just after a master in Philosophy, Moradei Andrea founded in collaboration with other teachers the Italian language and culture centre for foreigners Koinè. This is the starting date for all our Italian language and culture programs. In 1996 we opened the Enoteca de’ Giraldi, offering a cultural approach to Tuscan wine and food. The Enoteca was from the first moment both a wine restaurant then a point of meeting for people interested in wine tasting, cooking lessons and wine tours. In 2003 we opened the wine and food services agency Vinarium, with the aim of offering the best of our wine and food culture, and at the same time guaranteeing amusement and professionalism to our clients. Today Vinarium offers guided wine tasting in the best Florentine enotecas, cooking lessons in historical buildings and guided visits to the best Tuscan wine makers.

We were docked in Livorno while on a cruise and wanted a private tour to celebrate my 50th birthday - this was exactly what we were looking for. We were met by our guide and driver on the cruise pier and visited Pisa, Florence, and a wonderful Tuscan winery - lunch in Florence was included and it was just lovely. Andrea and his partner Barbara were very responsive to my numerous emails and they were both incredibly helpful in planning an unforgettable day. This was definitely a splurge for us, and absolutely worth the cost given the careful planning, individual attention, and private transportation with an incredibly knowledgeable guide and driver.

What a wonderful trip. We weren't too sure what we wanted to do, but knew we wanted a 5 day tour of the Amalfi Coast. Andrea handled absolutely everything from booking the hotels, restaurants, train and tour tickets, drivers and tour guides. We decided to stay in Positano and used it as our home base. Our driver Paulo was wonderful. So was our tour guide Ludovica who we spent the day with at Capri and Pompeii. Ludovica was extremely knowledgeable. She actually is an archeologist and did some digging at Pompeii a while back. Florinina, our tour guide in Positano was also a pleasure. Again, she very knowledgeable about the history of the city. We spent our final night in Rome and dined at a restaurant recommended by Andrea. It was a great way to end a perfect trip. Any questions I had when making the initial arrangements and during our vacation were always promptly answered by Andrea (I was using email). I can not say enough good words about this tour company. I booked based on the TripAdvisor reviews I'd read and I cannot be happier with our whole experience. I highly recommend them. Our next trip to Italy will be Florence and Tuscany; I'll definitely be using Vinarium again.

We had a cooking class with Cosette while in Florence and it was a great experience. We were taken to the local farmers market and had a choice in what we were going to learn to make. We made ravioli, zucchini blossoms, fava beans, bruschetta, and strawberry tiramisu. Cosette's english was perfect and her methods easy to understand. We had a great time and learned first hand how to make pasta!! Thank you so much.

Thank you to all at Vinarium travel agency We have had personal drivers and guides who have taken us to some of the most beautiful parts if Tuscany, we have been able to see sites that we would have struggled to find had we not had knowledgeable local guides with us. A special thank you to each of the guides we had the pleasure of spending time with they each guided us through an area they obviously love and are proud of. Barbara and her staff have thought of everything down to the finest detail so far. 4 days now by the sea. Kind regards

I was referred to Andrea M. from another tour due to us wanting to personalize a Chianti tour with a cooking class. As we began planning, I quickly realized I wished I had "met" Andrea M. prior to have been able to plan our whole trip. He is so incredibly phenomenal and patient as we had lots of questions. He put together the Classico tour advertised, with a special touch that included a cooking class at La Marronaia. Andrea, another Andrea, as it is a popular male name in Italy picked us up from our hotel and we began our day. We went through Greve and visited a famous butcher shop, flower shop, and had a morning glass of prosecco on a patio in the town square. We then traveled to our first winery and had personalized attention the entire time. Andrea would give us tidbits of information as we drove along the countryside of Tuscany. The lunch at La Scuderia must not be missed! They call it a light lunch, but we had a bottle of wine, bruschetta, prosciutto, gnocchi, pasta, and pork! The most delicious meal. We went to the next winery, equally as excellent! Again, you must do the private tour. It is unbelievably perfect! The highlight was stopping at La Marronaia where we cooked, laughed, and made life long friends. In fact, while we were snapping pictures tasting wine, Silvia, the owner, sent pictures back to Barbara....the co-owner of Vinarium with Andrea M. She said she had never had such a great time with clients. But it felt more like family. Andrea M., I wish you nothing but the best of luck with your business. You are an expert, and we will recommend everyone and anyone to you guys! Cheers til next time!
