Our guide, Alessio, met us right in downtown Florence and whisked us away to Chianti wine country. We stopped in a small village called Greve and an ancient town built around an old fortress with about twenty little homes; both of these excursions were fun in their own right, if a little short. But the highlight of the trip was... More

We did the tour in Chianti villages and San Gamigniano. It was really interesting! We had two wine tastings in vineyards and we enjoyed a lot the tour in Tuscany. Tuscany is a very beautiful place and I highly recommend you to try this tour.

We were met outside the Uffizi by Tomas, our guide for the two-walking tour around this lovely city. Tomas was extremely knowledgeable and obviously enjoyed telling us about Florence. We learned a lot about the history and wonderful buildings all around us and the two hours were over all too soon.

My husband and I had a lovely private golf cart tour of Florence last week. When mobility becomes an issue, it is fantastic to be able to still see what we want to see in comfort. We took the Grand Tour with Thomas. Since it was only the 2 of us with Thomas, we didn't use head sets. He spoke... More

What an amazing tour! The driver Alleisso (spelling is probably wrong) was amazing. Good tour. Delightful man. Very knowledgeable and GREAT driver very very safe. Even had umbrellas for us when we left as it was raining. He was delightful in dropping us all off in a different location more central to all our hotels. Paulo and Samuella the vineyard... More

We booked this just a day or two prior. The tour guide was very friendly and took us to more places than we expected. The two vineyards we stopped at had the nicest workers. We were able to taste the fresh grapes straight off of the vine! The wine tasting was fun and the scenery was so beautiful and serene.... More

Excellent trip! We stopped off at Siena, San Gimignano and Pisa. Personally, wished we had more time in San Gimignano and less in Siena. We stopped off for lunch at a wine farm. We had a tasty three course meal with three different types of wine. The coach was a double decker and the tour guides where friendly, helpful and... More

Booked this tour via our hotel about 2 days prior, and had no idea what to expect. My wife and I were at the pick up point early and was getting worried as we couldn't spot anyone else who might be on it. Finally we called the number and was told there would be a grey van and the guide... More

I can not say enough great things about this tour operator, the guide and the tour itself... Firstly, I'm incredibly hard to impress... I admit I am quite picky... I booked it online last minute, about 90 mins before the tour began... When I got the auto response email saying they'd get back to me in 24 hrs to confirm,... More

An excellent way to beat the queue, but a wonderfully curated tour from a knowledgable Marco. It was 45mins long, but for the 16 or so euros you pay on top of the entry, it is worth it!

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
