The climb is steep and crowded at times with skinny stairways, but there are multiple stops along the way for breaks and the view at the top is amazing.

Visited the dome in the morning and you can do the tower on the same ticket. Went late afternoon and hardly any queue at all. Worth the climb to receive a great view at the top.

I had only 2 days in Florence, and wanted to see everything and in one time! Giotto's Bell Tower is the perfect place! The only point you need to climb the 414 steps down a dark, narrow, stuffy stairs, full of other people. But the...More

The Bell Tower is so ornate. It's hard to believe how much work could be done so long ago. The detail is amazing. We didn't go up into the tower, but we will do our best next trip. It's beautiful.

Didn't climb, but my children did. They enjoyed the view from the top. I enjoyed a gelato waiting for them!

This is only suitable for people who can hack narrow stairs and steep climbs. It is worth the view. Try early in day before crowds. Fantastico!

We had to climb 414 narrow and steep steps but it worth the effort and the exhaustion. The view on top was magnificent. It was really crowdy but it was not annoying. I think that the only disadvantage is that there is no doctor on...More

It's fun to climb up these towers. But really look at the detail on the outside. It is so pretty. The views are good and always fun to say I did it!

Thats the place to see the city of Florence. The stairs are a bit on the steeper side, but the ascent and the view you get from there is simply worth the effort.

We turned up at around 6pm and there were no queues and just went straight in! Previously in the day the queues had been very long so its well worth waiting to later in the day to avoid the people. Quite a climb to the...More

Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by
an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city.
The historic center is characterized by the immensity
of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the
brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does
not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni
Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is
enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city

Try the Florence-museum website, i think we bought a combined ticket that covered the Duomo, Baptistry, the Bell Tower and a museum. Think it was about euro 18 per person. but you have to book a time to climb the Dome, we... More

There rarely is much of a line for the campanile (you'll find the line at the Duomo, instead), so most of your time will be spent ascending and descending the stairs and admiring the views. I'd allow about 45 minutes to an... More
