The staircase inside the campanile is steep and narrow, but there are a few places to rest on the way to the top. The views at the top would be spectacular, except for the heavy wire mesh screen around the perimeter. In my opinion, the...More

This is a bit of a smaller climb comparing to the Cupola one, only 414 steps and much wider. The bell tower has several levels so you can take a rest if you need to. The best photos of the Cupola and surrounds can be...More

This was included in our Duomo ticket, so we went the next day after climbing the Duomo. It's not quite as many stairs at the Duomo, was less crowded, and there are a few levels where you can rest and take in the views before...More

Going with elderly folks I just wanted to have them go up couple flights, take pictures and call it a day. My kids had a different idea. They came, they saw and they planned to conquer the tower. Although it looks menacing, the walk up...More

If only for the view........ you have to do this!!!! It’s over 400 steps, so Fitbit wearers can rejoice...., plus you can look down on those at the top of the dome.....

This Bell Tower is beautiful. We were on a tour with a large group of people so we didn't get an opportunity to climb it. I would most definitely recommend making the climb, the views I'm sure would be worth it. Making the climb is...More

We climbed this Bell Tower straight after we climbed to the top of the Duomo, well worth it. I would recommend climbing the Duomo first just before sunset, get to the top and watch the sun go down, then climb this Bell Tower straight after...More

I have climbed it, and none will forbid you to take it with you, but i suggest you to climb it without the daypack because you have nearly 1000 stairs to climb. Hope you enjoy Florence. It's a wonderful city.😊
