Completely transformed my stay in Florence! Favorite studio that I have ever been to...
Jul 2019 • Solo
I was staying in Florence for 9 weeks, and the beginning adjustment was not easy. However, I found It's Yoga and credit this amazing studio for creating a memorable and positive living experience in Florence. The atmosphere and hospitality is wonderful, and it is exceptional quality for the price. The instructors' approach to yoga is unlike anything I have experience in the states - it is intuitive, thoughtful and wholesome.

Every Monday and Wednesday, I attended Brenda Alier's Modified Primary Series class. A mix of flow, strength, and breathing work, this class was rejuvenating. Despite the fact that I was always late, she welcomed me with a smile and guided me throughout the practice. I am forever grateful for practicing at It's Yoga!

If you are a yoga person
Jun 2016 • Solo
If you want to practice and honor your body, go to 'its yoga firenze'
The studio itself is so calm and friendly so "the yoga experience" start at the entry.
The instructors speak very good english.

Very special place.

It's Yoga, and every single person who works here, is incredible. I feel so fortunate to have found it during my 3 months here in Florence. Truthfully, I'm not sure how it compares to other studios, since I haven't been to others since setting foot here.

Great drop-in rates and hospitality, and even if you don't speak Italian, teachers will usually accommodate to an English translation when they see you looking up to everyone else for guidance.

lovely studio
Nov 2015 • Solo
The place is lovely, there is a very peaceful atmosphere and had a very pleasant practice .

The studio is inside an ancient building and has a very cool flare. Apples and teas are offered and mats available.
Brittany conducted a very cool Rocket 2 Vinyasa practice.

Great yoga in beautiful Florentine building
Feb 2015 • Family
We joined a class for a one off session during our recent stay in Florence.

Very helpful, experienced instructor who managed to teach the class in both Italian and English (we were the only English there that day).

Got the day off to a good start.

Felt so good!!
Jan 2015
What a treat! Ashtanga yoga in a 600 year old building. We went two nights in a row. Between the flight and the long days walking we were sore and tired. Yoga was fantastic flow, friendly instructor and classmates in a beautiful room that reminded you were in Florence the whole time. Strongly recommend. A little hard to find the first time but well worth it.

Surf & Yoga retreat in Fuerteventura
Dec 2014 • Solo
Taking the initiative to make a "surf&yoga" holiday in Fuerteventura in winter time may be quite a hazard if you: don't know the place; don't know the people; and you are a novice both to yoga and to surf. So it may understandably take you a while to make up your mind and get out of your comfort zone.
But here are three good reasons why you will thank the moment when you eventually took the decision to make a try:
1) Mara (the yoga teacher)- even if you don't know yoga (and possibly are a little bit suspicious about it and about all these "breathing" things)- she will find the way to make it interesting to you and feasible for your level, and to make you feel accepted as you are. In her group you never have that uncomfortable feeling that you need to be "like the group" to be accepted, as it happened to me in some other yoga classes attempts which I did in the past. She rather makes all the best to understand who you are and what you can do- with a cleverness and sensibility which is far from being common;
2) Paolo (the surf instructor)- I have been practising windsurf for years so I have had many instructors in my life. The greatest majority of them just make the lesson and explain you things, but they do not really care about whether you are learning or not, understanding or not, and overall taking fun- you simply are a client. That's not the case for Paolo. Despite years of practice, he still has this enthusiasm for surf (and for teaching) which is contagious. He will not only teach you the technique, push you and make you feel "you can do it"- he will encourage you, be proud of your successes and smile and laugh with you for your faults, with a sense of care which again is far from being common (especially in a "pro" surfer).
3) The rest- Yoga and surf do have a lot to share, so mixing the two is an unusual but quite profitable training. The sunset at El Cotillo beach is something you will never forget (thanks Paolo for that!).

Yoga Retreat in Le Pianore
Sep 2014 • Couples
This is a review about a yoga retreat which was organized by two yogis from Its Yoga Florence, the loveliest Mara and Nadja.

The 4 day retreat at Le Pianore organized by Mara and Nadja is something I have been recommending to everyone I know since the day I've been back. I just can't help it because of how lovely it was. Exceeding all my expectations in every regard, from location to food, to classes etc.

First and foremost Mara and Nadja are excellent yogis, taking care of everything around you and organizing things perfectly. I had been doing yoga for over 6months before but with them in 2 hours i learnt so much more than in any of my yoga classes before. They took the time to explain details about correct postures and breathing, more than anyone had ever cared before. And not only that, but they were also fun and cool and organized other additional activities, which made the whole trip so complete and interesting and fun and surreal at the same time: a hike and wine tasting at a castle, a day-trip at the thermal baths, etc. It was just fantastic!!!

Secondly the location at Le Pianore is incredible. A view to die for, I still feel the sun shining in the morning, the smell of the trees around our room and a house full of people to make you feel like at home. Elena, the owner of the farm was so warm hearted and loving and she together with the most amazing italian cook, Rina are the main reason I want to go back there again and again.

The only small downside was that because it was end of September and the farm is very high up the mountain, the rooms were a bit cold and not yet heated. Yet, in the end we didn't mind too much. This was a perfect escape from the city, an experience to bring you in touch with your senses, goodness and kindness in people, good organic food and fabulous nature.
