This church was rebuilt after a fire that saved the mosT important frescoes. It was rebuilt in the Baroque style but pales in comparison to others in the area. I thought the staff was not to welcoming.

They closed early and were very rude. They really do not seem to want or appreciate visitors. Given the circumstances, I have no clue how the frescos were.

There was no line or wait for tickets when we were there June 5. The audio guide is very good, well worth the 3 euros. The frescos have been restored and are spectacular.

Santo Spirito / San Frediano
A warm evening with a cocktail in your hand and great
company is the ideal way to experience Piazza Santo
Spirito; the area is busiest at sunset for happy hour.
Visitors cannot hide their astonishment sitting on the
staircase under the Basilica of Santo Spirito, and
they cannot help but stare at the architectural
masterpieces like Bianca Cappello House, Fontana dello
Sprone and San Frediano in Cestello and Santa Maria
