We walked there for a view of the city and to see the church. Wonderful structure and beautiful choral chanting today. Several wedding parties were doing photography so that was a pleasant diversion. Beautiful view of the Florence Bridges and Tuscan hills. Worth the walk

A Juwell of Roman and Florentine architecture on the hill at left of the Arno river; inside a superb marble floor, and a rich marble pulpit from the 14 century, "Capella del Crocifisso".

Unfortunately the church was closed. But the view you get from the city is breath taking. The cemetery is also worth the visit!

The interior of the church boasts a wonderful marble floor, with a depiction of the zodiac and a crypt underneath, where you can admire curious Romanesque capitals. Really amazing views of Florence from outside.
