This is a smallish museum, the home of Dante, and (in shoulder season at least) was not particularly busy - unlike almost everything else in Florence. The most intersting aspect of this museum is (in my mind) that it provides a very good explanation of...More

While it has some very interesting information and pieces of history, it is not so well organised and very difficult to navigate through.

Neat museum tucked away, the old house of Dante. We're not huge fans but thought it would be worth checking out - it was. Also the death mask is here too (highly debated subject) so all in all, interesting for an hour or so.

It is a small museum that doesn't take long to go through. It was interesting but probably could be done a bit better.

Our tour guide walked us through this section where the museum is located and spoke of his works. I was intrigued and wanted to visit but I did not have the time. I hope to visit the museum on our next trip to Florence.

I also just happened across this museum in my wanderings through the lanes of Florence but contrary to some other reviewers, I really enjoyed this museum. I thought it put Dante's works into the context of his times and gave me a much better understanding...More

We wandered past this Museum. From the outside it looked promising, and we were hoping to find out much more about Dante. We didn't. The museum is a speculative collection of objects with very little or no relation to Dante, his death mask (which looked...More
