Incredible building surrounded by cafes and ice cream parlours. The climb isn't for the faint-hearted as there are a lot of steps. But there are two stopping points on the way up, one with statues and the other of the dome. Once to the top,...More

Very cool area with lots too see and great people watching. Florence's Dome speaks for itself. The dome climb is an absolute must, even for those who dislike stairs. I got the Firenze Card and went to a building next door to get a reserved...More

Large square dominated by the Duomo but also don't miss the Baptistry opposite. This has the magnificent golden Paradise doors and a piece of Roman temple set into the wall. Lovely for an evening stroll

It's hard not to dole out superlatives when confronted with such beauty. It is still a thoroughfare though and you need to watch out for cyclists particularly and there are some hawkers around, but not too obtrusive. When we were there part of the square...More

Wonderful must see in Florence!!! Purchase skip the line if you want to go inside. Many restaurants near by and market just a block away.

I found the least crowded time was to walk around in the evening. This is such a magnificent building, you need time to walk around and be prepared to get a stiff neck from looking up so much.

This square allows you to admire the size of the building whilst grabbing a coffee. When you look closely at the top of the dome you realise that the dots are actually people. Likewise if you have been up the dome you will be able...More

I think we walked through the Piazza at least ten times from mid-morning, to early afternoon, to evening visits. It was always overwhelmingly crowded, so much that it was impossible to admire the architecture to reflect on its history without someone bumping into us or...More

Find a table, enjoy an Aperol Spritzer and watch the people. Listen to the many languages being spoken....make up your own stories about the people strolling the Piazza. Simply amazing...

Majestic complex including the cathedral , the Baptistery and the Giotto's bell tower . Impossible to visit the cathedral , the queue was surrounding the church , but the Baptistery was less crowded and truly worth the visit , with its splendid mosaics and the...More

Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by
an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city.
The historic center is characterized by the immensity
of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the
brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does
not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni
