The most beautiful views of the city can be seen from the top of the Duomo. It is worth buying tickets to climb it. There are several warnings about heights and claustrophobia during booking. Depending on what drives your fear of heights it you might...More

As in anywhere during the summer get to this piazza early in the day. Make sure to safeguard valuables as this piazza is known for pickpockets. We had one member of our group relieved of her purse so beware. Beautiful church and baptistry.

We didnt go into the Duomo but just wandering aimlessly round the area was better I think to soak up the feel of the place ...and by very good luck it was the weekend that the new Ruffino came to town complete with medieval ceremony!

A must-see while in Florence. There are many surrounding pubs and restaurants that are reasonably priced. Visit at night for less crowds. We used the Rick Steve's audio guide which was very helpful and made the visit more enjoyable.

The centerpiece of the city is where the iconic Duomo is and everyone seems to be there. Crowded with tourists and tour groups from every country.

Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by
an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city.
The historic center is characterized by the immensity
of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the
brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does
not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni
Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is
enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city

Hello! This is a square, so it is accessible for wheelchairs. About bathrooms for wheelchair users, I am not 100% sure, but probably they exist at the ticket office in the square and also at the museum for the Dome art... More

You can visit it any time of the day. The restaurants in the piazza are open till late and you can always walk down the nearby roads and find lots of stalls for road side shopping.
