The church is famous as a place of rest for many famous men of science , art , poetry , whose ornate tombs are an attraction in themselves , but the church is a wonderful monument , with its spectacular architecture , the main shrine...More

Inspiring church, graves of Michaelangelo, Galieo, Machiavelli and others, but the adjacent Pazzi Chapel is a classic by Brunilesci and not to be missed, with its perfect proportions

This basilica doesn't seem to get the activity that some of the others receive. No lines!!!!! The stained glass is wonderful. The windows have detailed designs and are very bright. The cloister is large. In one side chapel there is a film showing the restorations...More

It cost 8 euro, as do most churches in Florence. No line, we went in the afternoon around 3pm. Just as I expected. We went just to see Michael Angelo, Galileo, mechiavelli’s tombs.

Santa Croce is a favorite spot to sit and watch the locals visit, walk their dogs, go to church and enjoy business if tourists. I like coffee and prayer outside. E. M. Forster writes beautifully about this sacred space.

Very interesting Gothic church. Here are the graves of Michelangelo, Galileo, Machiavelli, Leonardo da Vinci. In the courtyard there is a capella Pazzi built by Brunelleski and in the church there are interesting frescoes from Giotto.

Amazing church with a lot of culture and history. Totally worth the 6€ to pay, many things to visit and see even for if you are not religious. Really splendid.

Much of the interior is under restoration - so many frescos and sculptures not visible. The Pazzi Chapel remains a gem as do the cloisters by Brunneschi, but €8 is too much considering San Marco costs only €4 and the Bargello with all its masterpieces...More

Michelangelo and Galileo are buried here. Buy tickets in the Leather School behind church. Be sure to see the Tree of Life and Last Supper picture in the Chapel.
