My wife and I arrived at La Chiesa di Ognissanti just as (an English-speaking!) wedding party was leaving, so we waited a few minutes before entering until the newly-married couple was celebrating with friends around limousines in the piazza in front of the church. We...More

We stayed across the street from this church. On our first day, we were walking around and decided to go in. My husband asked the monk if there was anything special or interesting here before we went in. He said no. We were pleasantly suprised...More

If you are passing outside the church, at first you are not very impressed but when you go inside you find that is a lovely church with some nice art.

A beautiful church which is rather plain on the outside and I'm sure bypassed by many. But the frescoes and paintings are just brilliant. A huge Botticelli. Unable to see the Last Supper frescoe as it was closed. Well worth a visit.

This was the first church in Florence I went in where there were more religious people (in this case monks) than tourists. Having them walk around in their robes and sandals going about their daily business, whilst monk music (singing) was going on in the...More

Buongiorno.
