What an amazing time! Chef Guiseppe was so knowledgeable. We really learned a lot about the essence of Italian cooking. We made a delicious meal of bolgenese sauce, homemade pasta and tiramisu and had a great time eating together as new friends. I highly recommend this tour and highly recommend Guiseppe. He made it extra fun! We even got a... More

We booked this tour at a recommendation of our hotel, and were deeply disappointed in wasting an evening and money on such a tour. Our expectations were set based on the description from the brochure and website detailing a "fine dinner experience, enjoying a delicious 4-course typical Tuscan dinner". What I can tell you, is we were quickly ushered from... More

We had an amazing experience during our bike tour with Valentina. She was nice, friendly and extremely knowledgable of history and interesting information about landmarks visited. Surprise stop for a delicious gelato. We had a great morning! Strongly recommend this tour!

We were 13 persons meeting up to make our own pizza. After a short walk we got an introduction how to do a pizza from start. We booked the pizza & gelato class at the last minute and so glad we did. Paola was very engaging and had a great sense of humor. This class is very hands on, which is exactly what we wanted. Paola provided us with a few key tips on how to make the perfect pizza and we were able to see... More

A brilliant way to spend 3 hours. Daniel was our chef and he was hands on in helping us make the pizza dough and the gelato. It helped that our group was small (6) and so we each had personal atte. The pizza was delicious and gelato divine. Highly recommended.

Todays Florence Cooking Tour with Chef Daniel was personable and perfect. We were met by Lorenzo at the meeting place who then walked us to the actual academy where we were doing the cooking (about a 10min walk). The meeting place was a little difficult to locate but after asking questions we were in the right area. The meeting place... More

We loved our pizza and gelato making class with Paola through Florencetown. We had our 21 year old daughter who studies there with us and we all had fun! You don't need to know anything about cooking, just be ready to eat and have a good time. I highly recommend it. Great for families and children too!!

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
