Self-Drive Vintage Fiat 500 Tour from Florence: Tuscan Wine Experience

Set yourself apart from other Tuscan wine tasters by traveling to an estate in a vintage Fiat. Practice driving with a manual transmission, and set off toward the Tuscan hills with a convoy of retro Fiat 500s. Drive along Chianti’s scenic roads with a guide, taking less-traveled scenic roads you might miss on your own. Pull into a 15th-century wine estate, explore its vineyard and cellars, and sample local wines.

First of all I want to mention Martina! She was an awesome guide and gave me great suggestions for things to do during my remaining time in Florence. She saved the trip for us. Second, the Fiat's are so much fun to drive! Make sure you not only know how to drive a manual, but are pretty good at it because of the double-clutch. Another highlight was making friends with another couple on the tour during the wine tasting. The only bummers were.....My car broke down a half hour into the trip. It sucked, but riding with Martina made up for it and my wife appreciated the air conditioning. Our tour was also canceled due to a sick guide, luckily I contacted them the night before the tour was how I found out. I was able to reschedule the tour a couple days later. Overall, I do recommend this tour. Try to get Martina as a guide if at all possible!

FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD I had this tour booked for Friday 07/23/21. A day before the tour (Thursday 07/22) I received an email from this company (SEE PICTURE ATTACHED) saying my tour was cancelled due to the tour guide having COVID symptoms. It was too late for us to find another available tour (just 24 hours notice!!), and our Friday plans were ruined. But my biggest problem is: THEY NEVER GAVE ME A REFUND. I have been trying to contact them in thousands of ways. Their phone numbers are not working (I tried calling directly from my Florence hotel as well, and they are out of service). I sent plenty of emails in regards to my refund, nothing. Still nothing. No response from them at all. I am now disputing this charge on my AMEX credit card in hopes I get my money back. THEY ARE A FRAUD. DONT TRUST THEM.

It was a fantastic experience. Great cars with the right amount of patina. Stunning landscapes and Mattia was an excellent guide, very open, friendly and funny. Absolutely recommended.

Sadly due to recent times it was just the two of us on this tour, however did we get lucky! Our tour guide Marti ensured that we felt confident driving our little green beauty before we set off in to the Tuscan hills. Marti is an absolute credit to this tour, with her vast knowledge of the region and her experience as a sommelier. The tour is not only fun but informative as well. It gets you out of the city, you see the beautiful countryside with plenty of pit stops for photo opportunities and then end up in a stunning location for a light lunch and wine tasting down in the cellar. If you do one day trip whilst in Florence THIS IS THE ONE!
