There is something special about each piazza in Italy, but this beautiful one in Cortona is especially charming! Maybe because of the surrounding buildings or maybe because of the clock tower on high and lots of steps to sit on for people watching, but you...More

The piazza has one of the best things a piazza can have--lots of steps to sit on while you rest, people watch and finish your gelato. Lovely and charming.

I always enjoy the various Piazzas of Italy. Enjoyed the various shops and eateries and just people watching. We actually ended up in this Piazza three times during our 24 hour stay. Always something to see. Obviously not to be missed.

It is a very quaint and beautiful piazza. It has a lot of character, as do most attractions in Italy.

It’s quite a small town square but surrounded by very nice cafes and shops. There were lots of things going on here during the weekend I visited. Medieval processions etc. Also people just generally promenading and people watching.

Charming place caught in character. Love the place, getting lost in the town and in general having a delightful time.

The piazzas in Cortona are very beautiful, worth the steep climb from the parking. There was a market selling flowers today that added to the charm.

we were visiting with two other couples from Maryland. This fell into the "small world" category as we ran into another couple from Maryland who knew one of our friends. The ladies have a pic of the three husbands sitting on a bench in the...More

The two squares in Cortona are right next to each other. On or close to them are some very nice restaurants and do not miss the Mollesini wine shop.
