Very serene and stunning. The blue roof with the stars and the stripped walls are in great contrast to the incredible artwork and alters. Very special

The winding drive upward to the Tuscan hilltown of Cortona can sometimes be breathtaking - but it is always beautiful. The "home town" of the famous Catholic Saint Margaret of Cortona, whose statue will be found after you have fully ascended to the Piazza of...More

I went in Cortona to meet Glenda, the best wedding planner I could ever meet. She planned our wedding in Edinburgh and this was the best thing we did. Glenda is amazing, fast, polite and sweet! She understood what we needed and she made her...More

We dropped by when a wedding was in progress, and it was worth waiting to see the families emerge from the church. The duomo has a subdued, but elegant interior. The view of the valley from the forecourt is beautiful.

This was one of our favorite areas in Italy. A very friendly town overlooking the Chiani Valley. Spectacular. Lovely square great for people watching, a glass of wonderful wine, and some fabulous shopping.

Get some comfortable shoes on to really explore the old town of Cortona. The alleys are narrow, the climbs fairly steep and the views breathtaking from the Basilica on top and the Roman fortress above the Basilica. It is a popular spot for tourists (much...More
