One of the highlights of our trip!
Oct 2019 • Couples
We thoroughly enjoyed our cooking class with Alessandra. While we had a fabulous two weeks in Italy, this was definetly one of our favorite parts. From shopping at the local butcher, baker, and vegetable market to spending the day in Alessandra's kitchen cooking, eating and enjoying some wine and great conversation, this class holds it all. I cannot wait to try making stuffed zucchini flowers again next summer when they are in season! Thank you for sharing fabulous recipes and welcoming us in your home.

Highlight of our Tuscany trip
Oct 2019
First of all, this was easily one of the highlights of our Tuscany trip. Alessandra met us in Cortona for coffee and to help set the menu for our class. She then took us to the butcher, bakery, and produce market to help pick out the ingredients that we would need.

What followed was an amazingly fun day of cooking and conversation at her 600-year-old house in Tuscany. It was both instructive and hands-on, and the end result was nothing short of perfect.

I would recommend this experience for anybody visiting in the area.

Fantastic day in Cortona
Sep 2019
Alessandra met us in Cortona and then we went shopping for what we were going to cook. We ended up her her kitchen to learn how to make a fabulous meal and had a fun time while we were learning. By the time you leave you will be great friends.

Authentic and amazing
Aug 2019
Our family of four including 2 teenage boys loved the entire experience with Alessandra. We met her in the piazza, enjoyed a wonderful coffee, planned our menu, shopped for the ingredients and then created a divine feast including tortelloni, ragu and gelato. We laughed, we learned, we chopped and we ate. Alessandra is a fabulous teacher and host and I highly recommend this for anyone visiting the Cortona area.

An amazing day
Jun 2019
My daughter and I visited Alessandra for cooking class while visiting Tuscany. It was truly a highlight of our trip. Although there are many cooking classes available in the area, none would compare to this authentic experience. We shopped, we cooked, we visited, we enjoyed food and each other’s company. It was a perfect day. I would highly recommend this over any other cooking class that you could do in the area at a winery. This truly gives you the feeling of being in Italy.

Wonderful time
May 2019 • Couples
Our group had a fantastic time cooking with Alessandra during our trip to Tuscany. The day started with a market tour (that puts the US to shame in comparing what we put into our bodies) followed by a group experience cooking a delicious 3 course meal. We had great food, great conversation, and a wonderful time! Couldn’t recommend Alessansdra’s class enough.

So Much Fun
May 2019 • Family
On a cold, rainy May morning in Cortona, our family of 7 met Alessandra Federici on the steps of the City Hall in Cortona’s Piazza d. Repubblica and began a memorable day. I should note that we were late, and she was gracious. After deciding on our menu over coffee in a nearby café, we shopped for our meat and produce, learning along the way about the Italian insistence on fresh, locally sourced food. This outing does require cars, by the way. We then assembled in Alessandra’s small but organized kitchen and prepared our meal. A suggestion for those who are cost-conscious: there is a difference in pricing between cookers and eaters. Unlike other cooking classes, where people staff their own station and make their own meal, we worked together under Alessandra’s casual, knowledgeable leadership. She is a marvelous conversationalist with a great sense of humor, and the time flew by. The food was wonderful. Like the very best chefs, Alessandra cooks by “feel” although she will send you the recipes. We sat down together and it felt like a dinner with close friends and family. I am a decent cook and still learned some techniques. The basil in the lemon gelato was inspirational. This is a real home with real people—we met Alessandra’s family and pet her pets. This is how she makes her living, but we did not feel like tourists invading her home. I choose to hope that she liked us as much as we liked her. Ciao, Alessandra, and thank you for warming up our chilly, wet day in Tuscany.

Rainy day in Cortona rescued by Alexandra and her family. She is so talented, welcoming and lovely and was very gracious even though we had car issues and were 35 minutes late. Loved her class, 20/10! Go!

INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE
May 2019 • Friends
I was staying in Cortona with my girlfriend and her family on vacation. Alessandra took us around town buying supplies and then we cooked the most incredible, delicious multi-course meal back at her place. She was very friendly and accommodating, it was an experience I will remember for the rest of my life.

I would recommend her service to anyone visiting the area!!!!!!
