Church of San Giovanni Battista/Giovannello, built over a 4th century church. The façade contains the 15th century portal and rose window, which survived an earthquake in 1693. Sign out the front states church is 13th - 14th century. We wandered in when we noticed the...More

We visited after learning the history of the area and the associations with Judaism. Such a well cared for and peaceful spot. Beautiful architecture although roofless and a real sense of history through centuries of troubled times. Well worth a visit.More

It is an old building well kept. It is worth looking at it. Pictures of the building as well as the area are worth for remembering a nice and pleasant walk in Siracuse.
