After some difficulty we finally found this church which was on a list of suggested places to visit. We watched a wedding taking place in the old church which has no roof. Very picturesque and photo-worthy.

Interesting guided tour of the catacombs, which is included in the price. Beautiful location worth the visit. Nice and cool in the catacombs. Wonderful architecture and nice to see it is still being used as a church even though it has no roof.

It's a real surprise to see this church at the end of a local piazza that doesn't get a huge amount of tourist traffic. It's a roofless medieval building, which someone suggested had been a synagogue, since it's within the Jewish Quarter. When we were...More

Has slightly lost its appeal as all the bones have been removed and it's back to being a water chamber. Not that big it's all over in an hour

I'm not sure we would come here to visit this alone. It is noteworthy for its history and a bonus on the Catacomb tour

We visited after learning the history of the area and the associations with Judaism. Such a well cared for and peaceful spot. Beautiful architecture although roofless and a real sense of history through centuries of troubled times. Well worth a visit.More

Thanks for your tribute. I appreciate your definition of "paceful spot" writing about my parish church of St. John the Baptist. There is no association between this church and the Judaism because the old synagogue was in the place of the church of St. Philip...More

It is an old building well kept. It is worth looking at it. Pictures of the building as well as the area are worth for remembering a nice and pleasant walk in Siracuse.
