A relaxing, enjoyable, almost level walk along the Ciane River near the ancient City of Syracuse. Starting as a limestone spring, the Ciane's short meanders empties into the Porte Grande at Syracuse. This area is rich in Papyrus, which was introduced by the Ptelomies who...More

Mullet leaping from the water, croaking frogs, stone flies, butterflies, birds and beautiful trees. I wish I'd had time to go back and walk it thoroughly, because after walking from the coast road, along the beach and back, we foolishly took the boat. The boat...More
