Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited during our stay in Palermo in autumn 2020. Great show definitely worth a visit. There was sn English synopsis of the play which was helpful. The owners were very friendly. We paid 20.- for two. Loved it!

What a beautiful show. We had a great time despite not understanding italian. They give you a little summary of the story at the start which helps. The puppets are beautiful, the music is lovely. We felt like kids again.

We really enjoyed the show! We booked a private afternoon show that worked with our hours in port from the cruise ship. They charged 250E flat rate, and I got 5 or 6 other families to join us from the roll call of our cruise. Worked out great, and everyone enjoyed! They let the kids sit on stage for photos with a puppet after the show. So glad we could see it. Very convenient location since it was so close to the cruise port.

We visited Italy with a high school group and Enzo’s was a planned stop. It was very cool to experience a true marionette show. I can only imagine it to be a struggle keeping this art alive in today’s world and I’m so happy we were able to experience it!

This puppet theatre (& workshop) was well worth the trek to the port area from the centre of town tourism (in which lots of less authentic puppet shows are on offer). Tucked away behind the Ibis hotel in a fascinating little residential street we entered this magical world. The show is in Italian (of course) but although my husband and daughter do know any Italian and my husband is not usually a fan of such things, we were all enthralled throughout. Our six year old daughter was treated so well, they let her sit on stage, gave her a backstage tour, let her play the pianola and even made the puppets kiss her. She laughed out loud the whole way through the show! This is a wonderful family business with father doing the puppeteering and his little son (my daughters age) playing the pianola. So very very magical. Lets keep this tradition alive!

We saw "La nascita di Orlandino" which chronicles an adventurous journey leading to the birth of Orlandino, Charlemagne's nephew. The show features dialogues, knights' fights and lots of different sceneries. This is like a trip into the past with spectators sitting on wooden benches in front of a small stage for string tpuppets. At the end of the show, the main puppeteer, Enzo Mancuso (3rd generation puppeteer) welcomes questions from the audience. This was a unique and memorable Sicilian activity, highly recommended!

We had a hard time finding a puppet show that was airing at the end of August, but lucky us, this turned out to be the best evening spent in Palermo! The ticket cost (10euros) was well priced and the hour we spent went by far too quickly. Every minute was full of mystery, intrigue with a fascinating storyline (translated in written English).

As Enzo put it, it is a show for locals and Italians all across and they never really expect tourists. We truly felt like locals, being surrounding by groups of families from across Italian regions and cute little children who made us laugh just as much as the show.

A definite must in you're ever in Palermo.

Wow. A wonderful hour's entertainment with very highly skilled puppeteers. A translation of the story was provided but wasn't really needed. The skill is evident and captured children of all ages and adults alike. €10 per adult & €5 for each child. Well worth it and you'll be amazed.
Brought the puppets out afterwards and allowed the audience to then explore the stage and workings.
