We had planned the trip ahead of arrival which gave us the opportunity to bring the right gear and wear, but otherwise everything can be provided or hired as there were several people walking in last minute to join in on the tour. They keep the groups to a small number (we were 10 including our English speaking guide Miguel) Everything went as expected and the views and diversity of the terrain (and effort) were absolutely brilliant. We made it to the top despite some hard winds and Miguel explained a lot about the history and geology whenever the weather and our walk allowed it. We held short stops the regroup and one slightly longer stop for our own brought lunches. Our guide let us do some really cool descents and climbs but that depends a bit on the group whether everybody is in for that I suppose :) On our way back the winds picked uo to much for the normal descend so we took over an hour longer but better safe then sorry :) Great experience and will go back again in different season and then maybe just as a couple with a guide although it was great with a group too.

Angelo and Veronica helped us plan an amazing tour of Mount Etna, personalised just for the two of us. Because the logistics were quite complicated, we were in constant contact by email and WhatsApp in the days leading up to our tour which was very reassuring and enabled us to plan exactly what we wanted. They met us in Catania on the afternoon we arrived in Sicily (still with all our luggage), drove us to two different site on Mount Etna and then took us all the way to Taormina where our hotel was. The first part of our tour was a three hour hike to a spot overlooking the Bove Valley. Angelo took the time to point out and explain the wildlife and the different geological features in the area, whilst Veronica took lots of photographs on her camera, which she later shared with us for no additional fee. The second part of the tour took us to the Silvestri craters, which we climbed just as the sun was setting over the horizon - quite an incredible view. I noticed one of the reviews below commenting on the lack of conversation. Etna Hike usually conduct their tours in Italian rather than English. Although Angelo did comment on what he saw around us, for large parts of the tour we simply enjoyed being on the mountain and soaking in the environment - this was perfectly fine for us. Overall we spent around 6 hours with Angelo and Veronica, and saw far more than we could have imagined in one afternoon. The two of them clearly love what they are doing and were a delight to be with. I couldn’t recommend them more.

The tour was good, the landscape and trails were really nice. We did the north side of Etna and the view was incredible. The only thing with the tour is that was just a guiding through the Etna, there was no explanation of what we were seeing or facts about the vulcan. Maybe it was a language barrier as we don't speak italian and our guide might have been more confortable speaking in italian. If you just need someone to take you to Etna is perfect, but if you are expecting some "Etna facts" or "geography/history lessons" about the vulcano you should book with someone else (or speak italian).
