About
Sicily’s first nature reserve is extremely important for the abundance of rare and endemic plants, local fauna and the spectacular Uzzo Grotto, one of the first human settlements in the area.

This is a 2 hours car drive from Palermo. Beautiful natural reserve with about 10 house out of which 5 are publicly owned and used as a museum, rest house or similar purposes. The beaches here are wonderful and one can go on hikes.

The most beautiful beaches, view on sea. You can stop in one of the beach and just take sun and sea bathing or if you have comfortable dress and trainers choose one way and travel all day through the cost. You must take cup and...More

Lo Zingaro occupies a nearly-empty stretch of Sicilian coastline, where spectacular mountainsides meet the sea. You'll get magnificent views along a safe, well-marked (and well-trodden) trail that, while rolling, don't gain much elevation from the sea. Along the trail, a few remnants of the old...More

Spent a morning hiking here. Go early as it gets both hot and crowded. Much of the trail is narrow and on steep hillside. The parking lot (free) is small so arrive early. Nice trails that provide great coastline views. We were hoping to see...More

Found by accident as it is not well publicised this natural park was Sicily’s first national park ( 1982 ) and was saved from developers by aptly named ‘ environ mentalists ‘ in 1980 when efforts to build a road through this wilderness were thwarted....More

Very nice views. The beach was a bit crowded, and there were too many bees. Fun drive to get there though!
