in order to get there, you would need to jump on the boat that sail from Porto San Paolo marina.. tickets are available in the ticket purchase section on the right.. once you're there, you may enjoy a good food in the restaurant, sardinian style of course or just go for hiking, in case you're freediver/snorkeler I'd recommend to walk across the island and straight under the mountain there is a beach, almost empty, clean water and pretty deep too. a lot of sealife there.…

During a recent holiday in San Teodoro you can see Tavolara, which has a great prescence in the distance, so we decided to take a 15 minute car journey to Porto San Paolo to get a boat over to the Island. Tickets are available at a kiosk right next to the car park and they travel over every hour (peak season). The journey to the island takes about 20 minutes. The scenery is amazing and the main part of the island looks really imposing. There is a path that takes you all around one end of the island, which includes two beaches with crystal clear waters, so these are great for sunbathing if you want to. There is a restauant and a kiosk selling drinks and snacks as you get off the boat. I would highly recommend taking a trip over if you are in the area.…

arrive early and bring coins for the parking meter. Bring a snorkel, a towel and get the ferry from porto san paolo
