Sadly most of the good stuff is not on view for the public. I would not recommend this place unless you REALLY want to see it.

Contrary to earlier reviews, there are now information boards across the site in Italian and English showing details of the designs of the tombs as these cannot be easily seen from the pathways due to the 4-5m depths that the burial shafts extend to below...More

Well this may have been OK if we had been able to find it. We walked to where it was indicated on the tourist map, but it was shown in the middle of a very large block. We walked all round it and took an...More

I took a walk in this archaeological park, on a wide concrete path which goes right through it and which is the only one accesible to visitors. However, one could get some great views of the necropoli right from there, there are lots of them...More

A site of tremendous archeological importance but this seems to be lost on the locals. Deserted and difficult to find with no signage at all, this really ought to be a UNESCO jewel but is actually just a derelict area in a town where making...More

With enthusiasm my wife and I went to visit this unique archaeological site with the huge expectation as it is "the largest and most important necropolis of the Phoenician-Punic civilisation in the Mediterranean area". Unfortunately visitors cannot "see" the whole site at the moment. Visitors...More
