A town of Sardegna to remember!

Very picturesque, almost like a fairy tale dream town, with local products to taste. I was lucky to visit it in early November which was like....May!

I walked around the old port area. I started on my bicycle but the streets are very rough cobblestones and it just is easier to walk, particularly if you have rather narrow tires. It is a pleasant old town but not particularly spectacular.

One of the ancient towers of the old fortifications of the city. You can climb up thi sone (for free), which is a bit of a climb, but the views on top are worth it!

The old city of Alghero and the walls has special atmosphere and offers great strolls with a nice breeze from the sea. Especially with the amazing sunset with Capo Caccia. There a many restaurants to have drink of meals.

The main room in the tower is used for exhibits and next to its entrance, there is a door with stairs leading to the first floor and finally to the roof (one need to climb two floors to reach the roof). From there, one has a good view of Alghero and its roofs including the sea.

Also the newer part of the town with small parks, squares and avenues is worth a visit. Plenty of little restaurants and bars availble in the old as well as in the new part of the town.

I spent an afternoon Walking around the old Town, looking at shops and enjoying a nice italian dinner. Fine Alleys and nice churches and finally having a typical ice Cream. A must if you are visiting Sardinia.

We walked around for a couple of hours in the old town of Alghero with the medieval wall as an external border. The atmosphere here is both cozy and nice and you are all the time close to the sea, which of course contributes greatly to this. Fine alleys and environments and if you have more time than we had...
