This is a lovely little town in Sardinia and its a must visit! A ticket each way from Alghero will cost you Euro 6.50 with the bus. It is absolutely beautiful and colorful place. It lays just beneath its historical castle from which you have gorgeous views. The entrance fee for the castle itself is euro 4 per person. The... More

On arriving at the car park, a short walk over the bridge to the town centre. The narrow streets are full of little shop and ristorantes .The is a cathedral is situated to the left of the main square .There are some pretty coloured houses on the way up to the castle. We enjoyed our stay in Bosa.

Picturesque is a poor description of this jewel at the mouth of the Temo river. from the water, the buildings of of its ancient Sa Coste Quarter clamber up a low hill topped by the sturdy castello di serravalle, built for the premier family in the 12th-century. Its narrow streets and alleyways, where its rare to see tourists, are little... More

It's an easy and pleasant walk to San Pietro church, along the River Temo, past orchards and olive groves, fisherman and birds. The church is made of beautiful pink-ish stone and charmingly simple inside.

If you are staying in Bosa then the walk to San Pietro makes a good place to aim for if you want to have a fairly quick and easy scenic stroll. It is located on the southern side of the Temo river valley. You get there by crossing the old bridge leaving the main street behind you. You take your... More

During late September,2010, my wife and I took a day trip along the West Sardinian Coast, from Alghero to Bosa, by local bus. In our young seventies, there is no way we would drive! It was, I'm sure, one of the most enjoyable days of our life. Leaving the glorious old town of Alghero behind, (sitting on the very front... More

San Pietro Extramuros is a small Romanesque church about 1 km up the valley of the river Temo outside Bosa. It is in a beautiful location, set amongst trees, near the banks of the river. There is a frieze on the front of the church above the main door which depicts various saints. The church itself is solidly built of... More
