Great place for taking photos, silent walk within the Cathedral, contemplation, and prayer to uplift one's inner strength!

Beautiful square, and nice installation of lights in the evening.
Jul 2018 • Family
It is a very nice square, with some stories that are worth knowing, ranging from the Templars and going through the more recents facts related to the Balcanic wars.

If there is one thing to see in Brindisi
May 2018 • Family
Honesty Brindisi has a lot of work to do as the town outside of the center is not welcoming at all and looks dodgy.

The cathedral is probably one of the few reasons to visit Brindisi as it is massive, quite hidden inside the old town. Superbly decorated outside and inside.

Impressive piazza
May 2018
The cathedral occupies one side of the Duomo piazza which is an imposing square surrounded by historic buildings. The inside of the cathedral is somewhat plain compared to other Italian cathedrals but nevertheless worth visiting. It has a quite, peaceful ambience. The cathedral was originally constructed in the 12th century but was substantially rebuilt after the devastating earthquake of 1743. We enjoyed our visit. and nearby are other historic sites all worth seeing.

Beautiful
Oct 2017 • Family
This place has really touched my heart. The piazza outside and the buildings and the column in the centre are very beautiful and special, almost magical, in the night and impressive in the day. Watch out for cars, crossing piazza from different directions, though.

Worth a visit
Sep 2017 • Couples
The square is very historic and the buildings are more interesting on the outside than inside. The virgin in the column is serene against the blue sky

Old Cathedral rebuilt several times
Dec 2016 • Solo
This cathedral, dedicated to Teodosio was built originally nearly 1000 years ago but it was nearly destroyed by an earthquake 300 years ago and partially by the allied bombing in 1944. It has been reconstructed with a mixed style and it is attractive, especially for the nice square housing the archbishop palace.
