Brindisi - time for a little more love
Jun 2020
There isn’t much to draw us to Brindisi. It feels underdeveloped. Even the people living there seem to let it pass them by. But walking along the Corso Garibaldi onto the lungomare it has a very distinctive feel. More riviera than Puglia. It’s clean and looks impressive, but leaves us underwhelmed. Not because its not worth visiting - its a fine walk, actually nicer than most parts of the Bari lungomare. It just feels empty, and not because of the wide open space.

Great view
Sep 2019 • Friends
Great View of the port and the entry to it. Wind is Constant so even in the summer the hot weather is not a problem. There restaurants and pubs along the way. White and vulcanic Stones are all over the floor what makes a nice look landscape. Great a walk having ice cream and shooting pictures.

Beautiful walk along the sea
Jul 2019 • Couples
A beautiful walk along the sea. Stop into the ceramic museum (its free) to see their collection and then walk up to the roof deck for the view and cool breeze. Walk a section of the Appian Way. There are signs outside many interesting buildings, churches and landmarks that are very informative.

Met here when coming from cruise ship.

Lots of very pleasant and helpful people were offering their services as guides, by walking, open bus, land train, but with no hard sell. All along the waterfront stalls had been set up, obviously to greet us. They were mainly offering lots and lots of different pieces of local art and craft work. Think they did rather well. It is a very quiet and relaxing place to walk along by the water's edge, traffic free and it stretches a long way. There were a good number of interesting yachts and boats anchored there.

Lovely place

Very nice! A Pretty walk by the see in the centre of the city. It's quite during the day but during the evening you can meet a lot of people: turists and locals.

A lovely stroll along the harbour area
Jul 2015 • Family
Visiting the area off a cruise ship step straight out onto the promenade. It's beautifully presented and has some lovely photo opportunities. We just wandered around and enjoyed the views, churches, monuments, shopped a little and visited one of the many bar/cafes. Very friendly people. Very relaxing.
