Nice sculpture of St. Nicholas near the church; the relics of Saint Nicholas ( the Christmas Father for the children) is burried in Sant Nicholas Basilica, and his relics were stolen in the 11 century from Turkey, where his sarcophage is to admire, but empty.
gave this statue as a gift to the people of Bari...located in a corner outside the Basilica of St. Nicholas (where some of St. Nicks bones are kept)...this statue is most thought out by Russian tourists of course but it makes it a nice photo...More
This statue is in the courtyard by the cathedral. Nice opportunity to take a photo or two. Seemed to be a location where locals were gathered, but they were happy to move to give an unobstructed view.
