Nice sandy beach in Bari
Aug 2019
Very nice beach with cafe near the historical center of Bari, Old city. Have part with sands, and part with stones. Possible to walk from city center in 15 minutes aproximetly. Kind and professional staff in cafe. No dislikes, liked everything.

Sandy family friendly beach
Aug 2019
Free sandy beach with shallow bay, lovely for children. No sunbeds or umbrellas to hire so take them with you. Take bus 12 or 42.

Cute for a city beach
Jun 2019 • Family
Nice clear water and shallow for families. Can get crowded, but the kids had a great time wading between the shore and island of rocks only about 40 metres away. Also has a diving board. Watch your belongings though.

Sandy beach
Jun 2019 • Couples
This beach is clean and the water clear with views of the 2 breakwaters you can swim out to. There is a cafe and street vendors for food etc but no rental sunbeds. As quite small can get busy at weekends. The promenade to the beach from the main town is long but direct walk

good for a city beach
Jun 2019 • Family
we have been in the begining of June, the weather was not the best for the beach so it was not crowded. That was fine. But the sand is not clean, and the whole place small for a large crowd. Nonetheless our 4 year old sun enjoed it very much for running around, bulding with sand and the fact that you can walk in small water until the rocks in front. Its really ok for a swim if you stay in Bari.

Lovely family beach
Jul 2018 • Family
We arrived in Bari in the afternoon and with still a few rays of sunshine left we wanted to go to the beach. We got help from a small restaurant in the old town and after a 10-minute bus ride we were in Pane e POmodoro Beach. The beach was a bit crowded but still confortable. There were kid's activities, music and a cafe where you could get drinks, ice cream and snacks. The water and view might not be the best of Italy but definitely a nice place to hang out a couple of hours.

Dangerous. Dirty beach with wastes in the sea
Aug 2018 • Couples
The beach is dirty, overcrowded, there're a lot of merchants and almost all smoke on the beach. But it's not a big problem. The big problem is that the beach is situated next to Matteotti street where every heavy fall of rain over-floods sewerage and all wastes from canalization and streets stream to the sea! It's about 250-300 meters from the beach. Officials close the beach but it doesn't prevent people from swimming.
I was in Bari for a week and it repeated twice. Read Italian news about the beach and make sure that it's dangerous place to swim. See the picture I captured from Metteotti street during rain.

Nice Beach
Aug 2018 • Family
Nice beach. The water is nice and shallow for the kids and the breakers/islands ensure that he water is nice and calm. Exciting walking to the Island. The beach can be a little crowed which can lead to it being a little dirty . But over all great.

Unexpected
Aug 2018 • Couples
For a public beach, it is really great!! It is sandy, the water clean and clear and it gets deep very slow and progressivly. Although crowded, we found a good spot close to the water. You have lockers (free of charge) and a nice pizza bar. Really great!
