I must say that I had some prejudices about this beach ... Instead I changed my mind it's magnificent .... Clean beach full of games and green areas .. constant presence of lifeguards and often the police nice bar and the water is very transparent I love !

Ok, this is a sandy beach next to the city center. This is the only advantage. The quality of water is poor, I would not dare to swim there. You cannot rent a bed, it is a community beach so always very crowded. Only one bar at the beach, but in proximity some restaurants to eat a lunch.

Not clean, not bad, it’s free: if you take this into account, and by considering it’s right in the center of the town and relatively close to a port, it’s not bad. Parking your car will cost 1 € for the entire day, you can’t pretend anything more…

Great beach local to Bari. We took the train from Bari centrale to the Bari Parco Sud station. Then beach is just in front of the station- about 5 min walk. Train is €1.2 per person. Nice sandy beach with drinks, outdoor showers, playground, grassy shady picnic areas and lifeguards. At the end of July it was busy but not overly so. It was very windy when we arrived and swimming was forbidden but the wind eased and then we were allowed to swim.

ust 15-20 minutes’ walk from the old town going down the promenade you will get to PO beach. To be honest nothing to write home about. Soft sand but full of rubbish, sea water clear but unfortunately heavily polluted by sea weed. No restaurant or bar open in October, however the facility such as clean toilets or showers available and open. But to relax and sunbath is OK if you do not want to get to beach outside Bari or just walk further around the coast to smell the sea and the far away places to travel to. Around the beach there is nice trail for good walk.

Very nice beach with cafe near the historical center of Bari, Old city. Have part with sands, and part with stones. Possible to walk from city center in 15 minutes aproximetly. Kind and professional staff in cafe. No dislikes, liked everything.

The water at the small stone island is very nice, clean, but a lot of people - last day also see poop in the water ;(.

Free sandy beach with shallow bay, lovely for children. No sunbeds or umbrellas to hire so take them with you. Take bus 12 or 42.

Nice clear water and shallow for families. Can get crowded, but the kids had a great time wading between the shore and island of rocks only about 40 metres away. Also has a diving board. Watch your belongings though.

This beach is clean and the water clear with views of the 2 breakwaters you can swim out to. There is a cafe and street vendors for food etc but no rental sunbeds. As quite small can get busy at weekends. The promenade to the beach from the main town is long but direct walk

I read that at this place there is no option for renting an umbrella or sunbed. Is there a possibilty near here to buy an umbrella?

No c'è il cartello con l 'ordinanza del 2013 un ordinanza stupida e senza senso che vieta l'accesso ai cani....
che poi alla fine i cani dentro li fanno comunque entrare ok ma se trovi un vigile con la luna storta può farti la multa
