Villa Valmarana, the home of Count Giustino Valmarana, is located in the hills just outside of Vicenza and was designed by Gianbattista Tiepolo. It can be reached on foot, but, we opted for the 8 euro taxi ride from the train station. An audio guide is available and helps describe the design and contents of each of the rooms of the main house and the adjacent pallazzina. The views of the surrounding hills are spectacular and were one of the highlights of the visit for me.…

This is a relatively small property consisting of two villas with gorgeous gardens. The part of the gardens included in the entrance tickets is of limited size and does not take long to see. Each room in the villas is frescoed in a different style, one nicer than the next. It was a pleasure to be able to enjoy non-religious art in Italy. We thank for your message, we are glad that you enjoyed your time in our villa and you could discover its history. Villa Valmarana ai Nani is the only Villa in which people can compare the art of Giambattista (the father) with the art of Giandomenico Tiepolo (his son). Tiepolo's frescoes are really priceless! Best Regards, Valmarana family.

We rode bikes up to the villa, which is a nice ride. The villa is beautiful, inside and out. I appreciated the magnificent frescos all over the inside, the furniture, and the family photos. Nice to see that this place is enjoyed by the family over the generations, with all the weddings and babies and kids! The man who sells the tickets is very helpful and friendly. Garden is very beautiful with a wonderful view.…

Nice looking villa from the outside. Its interior frescoed walls are special, and just as striking. Located just north of Villa La Rotunda.
