Some of the paintings in this palace had captions saying that they've been transferred from wood to canvas. Some of the frescoes had captions saying they've been moved from somewhere else. I do not understand how any of this is possible. Many of the items whose captions said they've been restored seemed TOO restored and not genuine. I was not able to enjoy this museum as much as others since I felt a lack of genuineness.…

This Palladian Palace is worth the visit in its own right with large ornate rooms with frescoes ... and then there is the education. As you enter the museum proper (upper floor) be sure to take a few minutes to study how the rooms are structured. We did not do this and it took us a while to figure it out, but once we did, wow! Each room contains models of Palladian villas, with colour coded explanation on how they are built, videos and more. There are also architectural guides in each room to answer your questions.
