Loggia Valmarana is located in the Giardino Salvi (Salvi Garden), a few steps before Porta Castello, the medieval gate to the historic town. Scholars are not sure the 6 columns loggia had been planned by Palladio. However it features a genuine Palladian style, thus in 1994 UNESCO decided to ascribe it to him. It is a lovely setting. I just... More

Nice to go for a stroll, or you could sit and have lunch, read a book and relax here, we came across this area when we were walking up to the main shopping area from our hotel

Most travel books have a cropped picture of this that makes it look better than it is. Still, its architecture is worth seeing. There is a nice grass park with tree covering next door.

Since it is located in the center of the city you will visit it and have a walk in it. But you will not have an unforgettable experience. - Kako se nalazi u centru grada imacete vremena da obidjete ovaj park ali je verovatno lepsi na slikama nego uzivo.

I have been shocked by the beauty of this villa in the city of Vicenza just next to a park. Unfortunately as far as I can remember it was not in its best shape as I think some maintenance is needed to fully admire it.

Nice to see but poorly maintained and very unkempt. The buildings are falling apart and the rear of the building as one enters the park is extremely scruffy.

It takes on different hues depending on the light of the day which makes you appreciate the structure in different ways. First the sheer beauty of this Palladio masterpiece in the most tranquil of settings. The balance of the columns and the depth of the loggia , its such an elegant structure.Even in the rain the building has a magic... More
