Intending to visit the Torre dei Lamberti, we stumbled across the Galleria d'Arte Moderna and discovered that we could purchase a joint ticket for both attractions. I'm pleased that we did. Not only is the architecture in this beautifully presented gallery interesting but the works...More

First off, let me start by telling you that this museum is in the same building as the Torri dei Lamberti in case anyone has trouble finding it. I went in circles trying to find it & didn't realize that the museum was in the...More

Just below the Torre deii Lamberti is the museum of modern art. The art pieces range from the 19th C (is this really modern art? - either way, some of the paintings are excellent - and political, reflecting the founding of the nation!) up to...More

I've never been particularly interested in modern art (impressionism excepted) so wasn't sure if I'd even go in here, which was part of the ticket we had for going up the Torre dei Lamberti. My partner persuaded me to go and I'm very glad he...More

This is full of Italian art and sculptures from 14th century onwards. There are some very nice older pieces here and there are also some very good modern abstracts as well. Bags are not allowed in and have to be stored in a locker area...More

We discovered this museum accidentally because entry was included with our tickets to climb the tower. In the end, we spent more than twice as much time in the museum than we did in the tower. It is superbly done with some brilliant art and...More
