The alterations to the museum, many of which were concerned with ensuring its safety in case of an earthquake ( ironically, I write this a week after the tragedy of Pescara di Tronto ) started 3 years ago in June 2013 and the museum re-opened on June 16th. My memory of it is a small collection of artefacts, but, as... More

Just re.openend after a long restoring, this open/indoor museum is simply one of the best thing to see in Verona! We were lucky to enter only for 1 euro (promo fare for the re-opening). We visited in a cloudy day, but view is fantastic, landascaping is amazing....don't miss it!

I have already submitted a recent review but although it provided an up-date of a previous review that had been ticked as helpful, someone at your organization deemed it unsuitable. considering the number of reviews of mine that have received "helpful" notes, I consider it rather insulting to suggest that I am unable to decide the sort of information that... I had hoped that the construction work on this site might have been completed by now but I understand that, inevitably, the further the work progressed, the more appeared to need to be done. As it was Pasqua weekend, there was no-one present from whom to make enquiries so I cannot offer any help to readers concerning a final completion... More

I revisited this site to obtain the most up to date information on the situation with any advice on the likely date of re-opening. I was advised that the work was estimated to be completed "next year" but whether that would be next July or next December was completely unknown- "Chissa !" I can only hope that when I visit... My memory of my last visit to this site was of a very impressive collection well curated. However, my memory may be all I have to rely on for some time since my visit last week revealed that work started earlier this month to protect the museum and surroundings from earthquake damage and entrance would not be possible for at... The museo isn't unusual. We've seen several like it in Paris, Israel, etc. However the museo hosts wonderful photography exhibits that make it worth the trip. Looking at the photos in the archeological dig adds a feeling of timeless eternal beauty.

The museum is located in the Teatro Romano and has excellent pieces in superb rooms adding to the authenticity. Not as sterile as formal exhibition rooms. Superb.

A good collection in a lovely location. My husband and I visited this on the Verona Museum ticket as it is also part of the Roman theatre. It is a lovely site with good views of Verona, it was not busy at all even at the end of July.
