Even with the ongoing construction, it is worth your time for a visit especially if you have the combo church ticket. It is dark but just added to the mystique of the experience. Everything is familiar and yet different, you want to explore. The audio...More

If you are interested in churches you can see that one too. The arc in its yard seems to be more interesting but to me the statue of Dante was even more interesting!

OMG this is one of the most beautiful churches in Italy. Along with the frescos the Titian it is so gorgeous. There is ongoing work of restoration BUT forget that and wonder in the majesty of the building. Just amazing.

This was my least favourite out of the 4 main churches and that's because it is so dark in there and there is quite a lot of restoration work going on. It still is amazing and the architecture is really something.

Two churches here - one lower church with a fascinating history (proximity to the river meant flooding was an ongoing risk) and an upper church which sadly is half visible to the visitor, half under scaffold (as is every church we visited in Verona) Two...More

This is a very nice church, close to the river of Adige. Totally worth a visit, especially to be pointed out, is the two floor architecture. Currently the upper floor is being renovated.

For those who appreciate Franciscan Church architecture, San Fermo is unmissable as it displays the Order's way of building temples.

Chiesa Di San Fermo is an 11th century church with a lower Romanesque church and a higher Gothic church. The upper church has an unforgettable wooden ribbed ceiling and 14th and 15th century frescos.
