It's no wonder that this is one of the most historic and picturesque squares in Italy: in antiquity, it served as a Roman forum; today, it contains many historic buildings, sculptures with a popular and colorful market overflowing with fresh fruits and vegetables.

This square will make you fall in love with Verona more than any other one. It is always busy, during the day with the market and during the night with a young crowd drinking aperitivo all over the square... You have to try the local Sprirz, with Aperol, Prosecco and a splash of club soda, or a glass of wine... More

It's a unique shopping and dining area now with towers and adjoining piazzas, but once this was the Roman Forum area of Verona. The tallest of Verona's towers, the Torre dei Lamberti, was built by the powerful Lamberti Family in 1172. The clock was added in 1779. The two-story red brick building with the double arched windows is the Casa... More

Gorgeous architecture and the buzz of a market selling everything from tourist mementoes to art. Cafes line the square, offering the chance to people-watch and chill. A must see in Verona.

Verona has many appealing place to visit but I guess my favourite is this piazza - buzzing with life, with spectacular old buildings and features, the bancarelle selling fruit and vegetables, scarves, belts, tourist stuff, sweetmeats, t-shirts, hats (ok, some are not very good). What better than to sit, rest your feet and have an espresso or an Aperol spritz... More

This area is nice for people watching and lunch or an evening drink. Some of the restaurants don't want you to sit at the front (in the best seats) if you are not eating. They also don't advertise that they have free buffets (olives/nuts etc) to the tourists. The food is better in the smaller side streets, worth asking at... More

This piazza is more intimate than Piazza Bra. There is a lot of shopping and there are many cafes. It really is the place to hang out and people watch.

A beautiful square located in the center of the city, wonderful historical sites, monuments, palaces and museums. There is an open air market during the day, Obviously lots of stands and shops selling overpriced trinkets to tourists. The bars and restaurants are overpriced tourist traps, better to get away from the center if you want to eat and drink at... More

This Piazza is beautiful. The building that over look the Piazza are unique. There are statues, fountains and lots of vendors selling lots of different things.

This is the oldest square of Verona: a beautiful place and nerve of the city center. It owes its name to the old market carried out in there, where spices and medical herbs were sold in the past. Today is surrounded by beautiful and historic buildings, mansions, the council house and the medieval ‘torre dei lamberti’. Is a compulsory visit... More
