It's no wonder that this is one of the most historic and picturesque squares in Italy: in antiquity, it served as a Roman forum; today, it contains many historic buildings, sculptures with a popular and colorful market overflowing with fresh fruits and vegetables.

We spent some time here people watching while eating at outdoor cafes. the market is mainly selling tourist stuff, not the local market. It is a short walk from almost anywhere in Verona.

The Piazza is situated in such a way that it captures good light for photography in the morning on the tower at the north side. The market is a reasonable size and the cafes around the piazza are very pleasant and shaded. Hint: look at...More

Stop at one of the piazza cafes or trattorias and watch Verona stroll by. Particularly nice at the end of a long day of walking as the city begins to cool down from a warm summer day. Maybe you'll see the lady who brings her...More

I really enjoyed walking on the Piazza. It was such a soul in that place. People, restaurants, houses, shops; it was beautiful. Also, the pizza was very good there😄🍕

The best of Verona, unbeatable when the tour groups all showed up before lunch time. Many shops for the shopaholics in the family with plenty of restaurants to choose from.

Hi we are not sure as we took a train from Milan to Verona. It's best if you find parking across the Elbe river as it is only a short walk to the Piazza. hope this helps you.
