Great way of getting over the river and near to city centre. Open 24hrs and felt safe even at night. Nice views of the river and place to sit on the northern bank. Cafe in the park.

Take a short walk to the other bank od the river and enjoy the view. There are not only historical buildings to see, bit also local fishermen.

The Scaliger bridge aka Castelvecchio Bridge was originally built in the 14th century. It was destroyed during WWII and restored shortly after.

The Ponte Scaligero is truely stunning and well worth going through. You can get a full sense of the town's history and it is very well preserved, i recommend it.

Nothing much to do other than cross it and take a picture. :) One side of it starts on the side of the Castelvecchio. That's it.

We saw they bridge from up high, right above it and the view was great. We then drove down and saw it at eye level. Thought the higher view was better as it wa all laid out. Neat with older white stones below.

Lovely bridge beautiful design and good views of the river and parts of the city. Doesn't take a lot of time and is really nice to view the bridge from another location

Although there has been some rebuilding due to World War 2 damage this remains worth a visit as damage has been sympathetically done. It also makes a good introduction into the city of Verona
