The area
Neighbourhood: San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.

Goord food, not as fancy as some, but less expensive
Oct 2016
My title tells it all. We had very good seafood, not the fanciet, but then not the costliest. A full diner with wine was 60% of other side walk cafes

Looking for seafood
Sep 2016 • Couples
We stopped here on our last night in Venice because we wanted seafood. The service was exceptional, even by Italian standards and the house red was exquisite. I ordered the cuttlefish in black ink sauce and my girlfriend had the Angler's catch. Both of us are still talking about them a week later. This is a very comfortable spot with lots of seating and a great view of the piazza. Highly recommended.

Rude staff and awful atmosphere
May 2013 • Friends
Popped in for a quick drink to rest our feet after walking, met by very rude service and expensive prices. There are so many lovely places in Venice, do not waste your time here!

Best spritz in Venezia
I first went to Cafe Blue in 2002 and it's been my favourite place to have a spritz in Venice ever since. Last time we went there they also had free Wi-Fi.

It's an excellent place to be during the day, after a hectic walk in Venice and also later in the evening and night, especially when they have 'musica dal vivo', live music.
