Fantastic church with Titian and Tintoretto paintings. Small charge to get in but worth it. This is a working church so not always possible to visit, there was a funeral taking place on our first attempt.

We caught our boat occasionally here and this was a quiet church and it seemed un- used but it wasn't. It is beautiful but all the little corners of the turnings and each opening of the alleyways had a church just like this, exquisite.

Not the nicest church in Venezia, but very quiet and away from the crowd... In the Sestiere Cornareggio, very typical old Venezia

This was a Chorus Pass church but is no longer, so now you have to pay a separate admission. However this has allowed you to take photos without flash. Many fabulous paintings here, some by 'Tintoretto' and some by his son and others. The 'Madonna...More

This church has very serene feel when you enter. There are many works by Tintoretto (Jacopo) and he has a side chapel with his tomb. The only down side was that the chapel containing the statue of the madonna has a sign saying 'no guided...More

If you're a fan of the High Renaissance painter Tintoretto (1518-1594), you must not leave Venice without having spent an hour or so at the Madonna dell'Orto, the 15th century church in which he is buried. The church is a little off the beaten path--some...More

"The Presentation of Mary to the Temple" by Tintoretto is worth traveling to see. The area is desolate and refreshingly so. The vap stop called Orto is one way to get there, but I prefer to make the hike through the maze of streets, passing...More

In a very peaceful location, this is Tintoretto's church - he lived nearby and is buried here. It houses many of his works including the infamous Last Judgment. There is a statue, said to be miraculous, of the virgin and child - quite chunky and...More

The exterior of this church was fabulous. Unfortunately, we got there after closing and missed the interior, but I'm sure it lives up to the promise of its exterior.

Nope. The church is in a residential area of Venice and away from most of the tourist attractions and crowds. So unless you have the misfortune of arriving the same time as a tour group does, you'll have the church mostly... More
