Came upon this by chance. Large group of paintings by Tintoretto. Very powerful expression of the human body, as well as the mythical themes of Christianity.

Off the beaten tourist path. Full of major works by Tintoretto, painted/donated while he was a parishioner. Best appreciated with a guide (we recommend Luisella Romeo...seevenice.it) who can make the art and history come to life.

This church is a place where you can sit and reflect. It certainly was a welcomed respite from a warm day. What was magnificent was the quiet serenity of the space that was enhanced by lovely art.

bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
