The easiest place to visit the district of Dorsoduro from San Marco is by crossing the last wooden bridge in Venice Ponte dell'Accademia. The Peggy Guggenheim museum is easily reached from this point.

A useful crossing point from San Marco to Accademia. Above all a beautiful view and excellent photo opportunity looking towards Santa Maria Della Salute, particularly as the sun sets. It was a popular spot for photographers with their camera stands. Well worth a visit!

We slept outside Venice in Mestre and took the bus to Piazzale Roma and as we needed to reach Campo Santo Stefano we needed to cross the bridge at the Accademia. At the base of the bridge they have public toilets that were very clean.

Great views from this bridge with enough room to stop and take photos without getting mobbed. Worth visiting.
