When in Treviso take some time to walk along the river side called Restera, fro treviso it takes you to lovely Casier, a nice little town about 50 minutes walk where you can take an aperitivo near the little marina and pesdestrian area around the piazza.

Follow the river Sile out of town (against the flow of water) and be amazed by the natural beauty and the lucky house facing the river. Look out for the wild life and look carefully and I'm sure you'll see the trout (look very carefully). If you have plenty if thine there is a map along the way of a... More

Beautiful and peaceful passegiata all along the river Sile. Every season has its own charm. Avoid possibly Sundays because there are a lot of people.

If you come to Treviso, you MUST rent a bike/walk and visit the Restera! You will be sorrounded by nature just few steps from the centre.

This is a towpath I go along very often as I live nearby. I never tire of it as the river, flora and fauna are constantly changing with the seasons. you can follow it for many kilometres on foot, cycling or running. It's very picturesque and relaxing and if you avoid mid afternoon when there are more people, you have... More

This is a classic walk for locals. People in Treviso enjoy walking along the Restera admiring the beautiful surroundings and the fascinating Sile river which has been mentioned in the Divine Comedy by Dante (paradise "Dover Sil e Cagnan s'accompagna).

We rented bikes for our family of 4 at http://www.travelsport.org/. They are conveniently located right on the river (about 10 km outside of Treviso). Bikes of good quality (for adults and kids 10 and 11) and very reasonably priced. Marco spoke good English and provided us with maps. The bike ride is easy as the path is provided with clear... This is a nice route once you get away from the traffic and although we did it by foot for about an hour in each direction, most other people were travelling by bike. The route is easy to follow (just follow the river), but there are no obvious points to stop for a drink of water, beer etc. we only... More
