This is a massive imposing Church, located in a pretty square in Padua. We visited the outside only after dark when it was lit by floodlights

I wanted to write a review for the whole of Padova as a city, which I rarely do, but I just wanted to communicate what a nice city it is. We were mainly in the Centro Storico. We visited the Capella Scrovegni, the Basilica, the...More

We came to Padua by train for a day's visit. We started at the Prato della Valle and then went to the centro storico, particularly the area of the three piazzas. Excellent place for a wander. Good architecture as ever in old town Italy. It...More

Less known than Venice (at about 40Km), is a real jewel, rich of history with the University founded in the XIII cent. and the central "Palazzo della Ragione" rounded by 3 beatuiful squares.

The historical centre of Padua (Padova) is a nice cultural site to visit when being in this region of Italy. however, it can be very crowded when some cultural events are scheduled. Visiting during weekdays would be my advise.

I came to Padua primarily to see the university, but the whole city is really beautiful. The main square fills with tables in the evening and is full at night even on a summer weekday. Definitely recommended!
