Orto Botanico Gardens of Padua is right next to Plaza dell Valle and a short walk from Saint Anthony's Basilica . On a nice sunny day it is worth a leasurely walk in the gardens.

Nice but probably better in the summer and also not really worth 20 Euro ( for 2) entrance fee. We should have bought a padova card which gives you free entrance into here.

This is a beautiful set of spaces neatly organized into collections representing different parts of the world. There is a large outdoor exhibit that also hosts large trees, some of which are 200 years old, shrubs that are medicinal, poisonous, water lilies and much more....More

Nicely laid out with a mix of gardens and impressive historic buildings. The lily pads, some with raised sides and three feet across, alone are worth the visit, although the Goethe palm and the poisonous and medicinal plants collections are certainly highlights
