This is an interesting place because of its history. The garden is pleasant to walk around in, but not as spectacular as others I’ve seen. There are several places in Padova that are more interesting.

The gardens were enjoyable featuring a classical garden with a large modern area show casing plants from different ecosystems. The later was interesting but as European gardens go not outstanding.

If you love botanic gardens, you cannot miss this. I guess it is one of the oldest in Italy, with some very old trees (going back to 1600 circa). Very nice to walk in, the plants are organized by typology. You do not want to...More

Allow a couple of hours at least. The new glasshouses are extremely interesting and informative and the layout of this garden established in 16thC has been recreated in a very clever way. We particularly liked the medicinal herb area. Sadly nowhere within the gardens to...More
