Really large open area. Very busy on a Sunday afternoon with a flea/antiques market going on and lots of local families strolling around.

This is a huge public area in Padova. It is filled with statues, greenery, and benches, and surrounded by the San Antonio and the Basilica. It is rumored that it is bigger in surface area than St-Petersburg square. A nice place to relax. Recommended!

This is a very nice oval shaped park with street vendors selling around the outer perimeter . There is statues everywhere and children an adults feeding the pigeons and seagulls. A great place for a picnic.

This very large piazza is a joy to walk through, especially in the evening. The Saturday market is gigantic and a local scene. The carousel is charming! Grab a seat at a cafe and enjoy!

This large mostly pedestrian square with lots of sculptures, artificial canal, beautiful buildings, to my mind, is one of the best Squares not only in Italy, but in Europe. Once again, knowing its history would help to appreciate it even more.
