There's little one can say to encourage a visit to this holy shrine. St. Anthony, Patron Saint of Children, is interred here. The Basilica certainly has nearby Venetian influence. It's very reminiscent of San Marco in Venice. But, it stands on its own, as does...More

Despite many visitors, very peaceful. Quiet, respectful. I could have spent half the day there taking in the incredible architecture and artwork and praying. Only fly in the ointment was the chapel containing St Anthony's relics was locked. 😒 Limited parking. Getting there using Siri...More

The Basilica is wonderful. Besides all the marvelous artwork, it is the shelter to the mortal remains of Saint Anthony, including his uncorrupted tongue. It is a must go place in Padova.

Beautiful church. Filled with relics including the tomb of St. Anthony. The church itself is huge and it has a multitude of chapels and altars each more beautiful than the other. The architecture is amazing.

The Catholics loves relics and here is a whole chapel of them including the sarcophagus of San Antonio. You should go here and discover the very soul and nature of the Catholics. An interesting visit. Arrive early if possible.
