As some other reviewers have said the tour is in Italian. However, the ladies who run it have a English crib sheet they will lend you, and their enthusiasm is infectious. Many wonderful exhibits and great views from the top of the tower. A real trip into history. note tour is later in the summer at weekends, check the website.

Rarely open, 4pm on Saturdays & Sundays, we've struggled to get into here for a while. The guided tour leaves at 4pm promptly and you need to buy tickets from the nearby Oratorio S Michaele. Max 30 people per tour. The tour is only in Italian and there are several exhibits and instruments with English descriptions. Guided over the three... More

This place seems to be in a fairy tale, not far from the center, reachable with an hour walk from the train station. There is the astronomy universities. Beautiful canals.

This place is called "La Specola" and it is one of the most ancient telescope of the world. Look! People tell that Galileo Galilei used this telescope when he was writing "Sidereus Nuncius", his masterpiece! Unfortunately when we arrived it was closed because it was sunday. We saw it from the outside. "La Specola" is in a beautiful neighborhood, next... More

The highest reachable point in the city. From the top of the XIII century tower you will see Padova in an unfamiliar but breathtaking way. You'll se all the secret gardens surrounded by the walls of medieval palaces, the towering and unexpected dome of Duomo, the "high places" used by Valle to measure and trace the best city plan of... Placed in a back road in the center of Padova it is towering the canal nearby and the place remembers some Paris landscapes of the Sein river. The surrounding itself is a gorgeous place to walk and discover old palaces, ancient houses and little churches dating back the 17th century. The tour of the Observatory is absolutely interesting and gives... More
