Great experience, welcome office, very good temporary and permanent exhibitions, and the opportunity to take a long brunch or a short coffe experience inside the garden, even without a ticket for the castle and frescos tower.

this castle is right in the city... it is neat to walk around it and the view from the top is beautiful to see.

Initially appears to be a rather austere castle, but it holds the large Provincial Museum. There are Egyptian, Greek, Roman and medieval items. There are also various special exhibits. Make sure to pay the few extra euros to see Torre dell'Aquila.

This old castle is as started in the 13th century and subsequently added to over the next three to four centuries. It's sits as a guardian on a crest of hill overlooking the city of Trento. It has many magnificent beautiful frescos...easy to spend several hours...the art and sculpture are 15th to 17th century. Certainly worth your time and effort.

This historic and extensive castle was full of surprises such as exhibitions on ancient Egyptians (mummified crocodile, cat etc!), Romans and Celts as well as the "normal" pictures, frescos and fancy furniture. It also has second world war prison cells and courtyard gardens and some nice views across the city. Restaurant is rather poor- better to try the bars just... More

This is a fabulous place: clean, we'll sign posted once inside, full of helpful staff etc. And things have happened here in (fairly) recent history that are well described. Well worth a stop for a look about. Allow 1.5 - 2 hours and have a snack in the neat little café.

What I like in old Italian architecture is the fact that when a new era begins, they don't demolish everything old. One can find different styles in the Castello. Overwhelming decorations do not cover the construction, but an observant visitor can find all the styles, that gathered on the building.

They started building this fortress/palace in 1200 and continued for 500 more years! Good museum with varied treasures. Worth an afternoon!
