Great place to stay
May 2018 • Friends
Booked for 4 nights. Very central location. The room was superb with a mezzanine floor with an extra bed for my friend. We had everything we needed. The bathroom was private but not ensuite and I would consider putting a doorway through although it wasn't a great problem. The other rooms are ensuite. Breakfast was included and there was a great section including homemade cake and freshly squeezed juice. The host couldn't have been more helpful in pointing out restaurants and booking a museum tour for us. The decor throughout is stunning. Absolutely no complaints.

Many interesting paintings , with a very good arrangement , but , in my opinion, the space it 's not enougth to see all the details . Maybe at the GAM palace it will be better .

A wonderful Matisse exhibition!
Apr 2016 • Friends
The arrangement of the paintings is impecable; the exhibition curator did a great job!!!
Matisse and the interaction between his artist friends is a very successful event that everyone around Torino must see.
In the last sala (room) just sit on the central bench and stare at the white "infinity" ceiling!!!!

Very Enjoyable
Apr 2016 • Friends
We sort of stumbled across this gem while wandering around Turin. On a whim we decided to go in and check out the Matisse display. Even if you're not a huge art lover, the display is laid out wonderfully. It was thoroughly enjoyed by all of us (none of whom are Art lovers by and stretch). Was definitely worth the 13€.

Delighted our visit coincided with Matisse
Mar 2016 • Couples
We were indeed fortunate that our visit occurred during a marvellous Matisse exhibition. And not only 50 paintings by the master himself but also almost the same number of masterpieces by his fellow artists. All from the Centre Pompidou.

The changes in Matisse as an artist from his earlier works, through the major movement of Fauvism, up to his later Jazz works is marvellously achieved. His use of colour is exhilarating. The major influence he exerted on many other artists is evident.

Great works by Derrain, co-founder of Fauvism, Braque and Picasso, to name but a few complement the Matisse exhibits and are a wonderful exposure of the vibrant art of these decades.

A Beautiful Building.....

....however I didn't know what its purpose was. Neither did I have any idea what it was.
Was it meant to be a museum of some sort?

This was my third visit to this exhibition. I took the audio guide (at extra cost) the first time and found it very informative.
Loved the extensive art on display. I think three visits says it all!
